New Project Award

On Sunday, April 23, Good Shepherd Catholic Church located at 8710 Mount Vernon Hwy in Alexandria, VA, celebrated the groundbreaking for their new project that includes a new chapel and other multi-use facilities for the church.

A landmark award indeed for W.B. Hopke. In October 2022, W.B. Hopke was awarded its largest project ever for the installation of sanitary, storm and water infrastructure at the Landmark Mall Redevelopment/West End Infrastructure project in Alexandria, VA.

Iron Mountain Data Center announced a new project to build 2 new data center facilities in Prince William County, VA. VA-4 and VA-5 will be housed in two 165,000 square foot buildings and clients will be able to access cloud services at the facility. The project award went to W.B. Hopke in early November 2022 and is scheduled to begin in April 2023 according to Hopke lead estimator, Charlie McClellan.

In July 2022, W.B. Hopke was awarded a new water and sanitary installation project for the Islamic Community Center of Potomac. The Islamic Community Center of Potomac (ICCP), located at 10601 River Road Potomac, Maryland provides a sacred space to worship, learn, and contemplate in an open and inviting atmosphere.

The Hyattsville Canvas Apartments (formerly Armory Apartments), located in the 5300 block of Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) in downtown Hyattsville, Maryland, are slated to be a 315,000 square foot, mixed-use apartment complex situated two miles for the DC border next to the historic Armory building and across the street from Busboys and Poets.

Between July 2018 and September 2020, the Arlington County Board approved the land purchase of three parcels on Shirlington Road, and the concept planning, design and construction for the Arlington Regional Transit Operation and Maintenance Facility. Arlington Regional Transit (ART) is Arlington County’s local transit system that supplements Metrobus service with cross-county routes as well as neighborhood connections to Metrorail and Virginia Railway Express.
