When you ask Carlos Hernanadez how he has succeeded with W.B. Hopke for more than twenty-five years, his answer is simple. “I love my job and what I do.” Carlos was encouraged by family member, Orlando Hernandez, to come to work for Hopke in 1998.

Brian has been in the construction industry for more than 30 years and has had a stellar career. For those that don’t know Brian, we’d like to share his story and pay tribute to a man who has always put forth extra effort for Hopke.
The Capital One Center Park in Tysons Corner, VA is almost complete. The Fairfax County Planning Commission approved two separate plans for recreational amenities on Oct. 26, 2022 for work on a baseball field with a target date of completion for the upcoming spring season.

Mike Hopke joined W.B. Hopke part-time in 1975. He recalls starting his career at the bottom, cleaning the shop, servicing equipment and emptying trash cans. In 1979, after graduating from Virginia Tech, Mike joined W.B. Hopke full-time and never looked back…until today.

The Modera Clarendon is a luxury apartment building in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. Located at 3415 Washington Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia, the Modera is a 147,926 square foot contemporary apartment building. When complete, it will be 7 stories and will accommodate 270 apartments including apartment studios, one-, two-, and three-bedrooms, some with dens.
Iron Mountain Data Center announced a new project to build 2 new data center facilities in Prince William County, VA. VA-4 and VA-5 will be housed in two 165,000 square foot buildings and clients will be able to access cloud services at the facility. The project award went to W.B. Hopke in early November 2022 and is scheduled to begin in April 2023 according to Hopke lead estimator, Charlie McClellan.
Jimbo Cloniger, superintendent for W.B. Hopke still has not seen it all in 34 years, as every day is a new challenge and new experience. He came to work for W.B. Hopke in June 1989 and has been hard at it ever since. A special thanks to Jimbo for years of dedication and for sharing his story.
In November 2015, funding was approved by the public for a new South County Police Station and Animal Shelter located at 8855 Lorton Road, Lorton, VA in Fairfax County. The two-year project began with a groundbreaking ceremony on May 22, 2021 with occupancy scheduled for Spring 2023.
