Recently Finshed Project – W.B. Hopke Completes Wet Utilities Work at “The Six” in Hyattsville, MD

Congratulations to W.B. Hopke on the recent completion of wet utilities at The Six, a luxury residential high rise with 316 units located at 6400 America Blvd., Hyattsville, MD. The project, which Hopke began in 2022, included sanitary, water and storm and was overseen by general contractor, CBG Building Company. The work was completed in late summer 2023.

Hopke’s role with this project included water, sanitary lateral installation, storm installation, and stormwater vault installation underneath an underground parking garage. The sanitary required precast manholes and PVC piping. The water included ductile iron piping for water supply. The storm included PVC, RCP storm piping, and Stormpod precast storm detention vault installed underneath a parking garage.

“The biggest challenge with this project was the installation of the precast storm detention vault underneath the parking garage. It required crane access and coordination with other trades at the site,” said Hopke’s Project Manager, David Steger.
