West Falls Church Metro is one of the busiest construction corridors in Northern Virginia and soon will be busier. Rushmark Properties, EYA and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority recently announced they are partnering on a new project, a 24-acre tract for mixed-use development in West Falls Church.

W.B. Hopke Team Completes 11th and Vermont Wet Utilities Project in Arlington, Virginia

W.B. Hopke completed work for the 11th and Vermont wet utilities project in Arlington, VA. The first mobilization of work began in April of 2023 and concluded in October 2024. Overseen by general contractor Donohoe Construction Company, Hopke’s role was to do all the sanitary, water and storm installation.

Crystal House 7 and 8 (aka Highland Row) is part of a five-phase infill redevelopment plan expansion in the heart of National Landing in Arlington County. A public-private partnership between Arlington County, Amazon’s Housing Equity Fund, EYA, True Ground Housing Partners and the Washington Housing Conservancy is preparing for the next phase of development for the transformative, mixed-income expansion of the Crystal House Apartments Complex.

W.B. Hopke continues to make progress with the ongoing wet utilities work at Sidwell Friends, a new Upper School located at 3720 Upton Street, N.W. Washington DC. The Upton Street Building, which was once the Washington Home and Community Hospice’s nursing home, has been transformed into a new upper school which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026.

Hopke Begins Wet Utilities Work on the Loudoun County Science Center Museum Project, Scheduled for Completion in 2027

Construction for the Northern Virginia Science Center Museum in Loudoun County, VA has begun. The new museum will sit on a five-acre parcel of property that adjoins to parkland and the 200-acres at the Broad Run Stream Valley as part of a 424-acre mixed use Kincora development by Tritec Real Estate company.
